Live in AZ..hot.. anyway, freon leaks out every day or two.
I have replaced both hi and lo valves. They were leaking at different times..loudly.. Took it to the shop.they charged $120 to leak test and recharge. They can find no leak? I am taking it back this afternoon since it leaked out again. They, of course, put die in it..which will help them find it..hopefully? But I had also tried die..to no avail..
Did they check for leaks around the evaporator? They do leak sometimes. The best place to check if you are using an electronic or halide leak detector is the condensate drain hose since refrigerant gas is heavier than air.
