Last month my back tank started flowing into the front tank. I read here that it has something to do with a check valve on the fuel rail pump. Now my front tank has an intermittent whine coming from it. I suspect the pump is on it's way out.
I would like some one to guide me on getting this all fixed. I would like to finally kick out some money on a repair manual for this f250 5.8 liter truck but there are so many to choose from and I don't know which one is the best value for the money or which one is the most detailed and covers the most, or if any of these manuals would have this particular problem covered.
Isn't there a manual online that I could pay to access and then download on to my computer?
Sounds like the check valves in the pump of the front tank have gone bad. Replacing that pump would likely solve your problem. About the book, if it isn't a genuine Ford book, the rest are all about the same.
