You're welcome. Your pn is just an older V than what is generally seen here. I think the "Y" means 2000 model year. 5310 is the base pn for all front springs and generally the base is not on parts, just the prefix and suffix. ..but I'm no expert.

Rob what are you using to decode the part numbers? I have a line on a set of springs but they're off the truck. I'll need to look them up by part number to figure out what they are.

Can I call you on a Sunday morning from the junkyard to ask you to look them up for me?

Is it a secret?

Ok Rob, I have a guy selling some springs and they're already off the truck.

The rear says:
RPN 1962
2C34 CB

The front says:
YC35 AMC
R 286 0

Any idea what these are?

Thanks!

It took a while, each part number changed a few times and made it a tad confusing. If I'm right, you have V and B codes. Do the rear springs have an overload spring? According to what I saw, they should.

They do have an overload spring. I did some googling and arrived at the same conclusion you did so I snagged them last night.

Ready for this? Picked up all four springs for $170. He was going to give me the hardware too but since all I need are the springs he kept them.

Good deal, I forgot to mention the fronts are 1999 and the rears are 2002. Take a look at the bushings, now is the time to change them.

Rob do you have a list of spring part #'s that you could post for a reference in the future?

Sorry I don't, I research them one at a time. When I get sometime I'll try to make a list.

When I posted I was thinking of front springs. For the rear I have a spreadsheet that lists rates and transition points that's semi interactive. You can input a load and it will calculate position and whether you are in the primary or secondary rate. It also calculates natural frequency. I sent it to one of the moderators with other info but never heard back...I'm guessing he never read any of it because it helped me decide on my springs and I'm certain it would help others.

Again, I'll try to compile a list of part numbers...just not sure when.
