05-07 F550-650 dash conversion ?
i have seen some of the lower dash conversions done on F250-350 SD's using what is referred to as a F550 or 650 parts
i was wondering more specifically what the options were for the 05-07 SD version
i was hoping that there was possibly something that replaced the pull down storage tray to the right of the steering wheel found on the 05-07 that in turn may allow me to place a CTS monitor there
thanks

1. F-550's have the same dashes that F-250's have. Each time Ford updated or changed the F-250/350/450 dashboard, Ford also changed the F-550 dashboard. There is nothing different or unique about the F-550 dashboard, for any model year Super Duty from 1999 - 2015.
2. It is the F-650 and F-750 that you are talking about. Those trucks have a unique lower center instrument panel section different than the 250-550.
3. There are two different versions of the F-650/750 lower instrument panel center section... one for automatics, and the other for manual shift. The different mold is to clear room to row thru gears on the automatic.
4. In model years 2005 -2007, when Ford updated the F-250-550 dashboard to give it a more "chiseled" and "defined" look, Ford did NOT update the F-650/750 dashboard. Instead, Ford carried over the original 1999 instrument panel rounded over design in the 2005-2007 F650/750. Therefore, while people have fitted the lower center instrument panel from the F-650 into their more modern looking 2005 - 2007 pickups, there is more of an obvious difference in the look, because they are combining two different genre's of dashboards.
You might try doing an image search through the albums to see if you like the combination. If I had a 2005-20007, I wouldn't put an F-650 center dash in. However in my 2000, I would, and have considered it, but won't unless or until I change my third party trailer brake controller.
