So after buying the truck I decided to have it sent to a body shop to have all the rust removed and to be painted because I hated the truck being white
Dark colors really makes chrome "pop". Get a shiny grill and headlight doors (or at least shoot them silver!) and I think it'll look even better. The black doesn't cut it for me but I figure there's a reason why they are painted black.
Watch out for Mother Nature's fingernails on the trails.. They are also called "tree branches".
yes that is my next step is to get all new chrome, the side molding wasnt in bad shape but the chrome had some knicks in it so we started redoing it, we ended up Reversing the trim so now the black is chrome and the chrome is black.
Looks good to me. Always nice to get a rust free fresh painted truck. What color did you go with? My favorite color is black so the grille is alright in my eyes. Could use alittle more chrome on the truck. Are you keeping the billet inserts and painting them or plan on getting nice shiny ones or go back to stock? I been thinking of getting a set for my 71 just to see how I like them.
