hey people! been a while since i posted or even checked in on you. lot has happened not the least being my first grandchild, Levi Clayton! anyhow, what i have is two questions; 1) my 93 f150 4x4 s/c w/351w has a problem when the hubs are locked and i'm going down a gravel or paved road. if i go above 80kph (50mph) the truck whines, vibrates and needs lots of revs to keep it there. i heard some where that there was a different type of u-joints? that replace the originals and will allow me to go above this speed as i do with my company super-duty w/the hubs locked constantly. 2) i saw a posting on coatings on throttle bodies and wonder the same on my 351 (5.8). Thanks for your help F-150 xlt s/c 4x4 5.8lt (351) no mods except 32x11.5's on stock rims

I think the ones in your truck are shot, I changed mine last year, and the needle bearings were rusted to the cup, and some didn’t even have needle bearings.
Just go down to the parts store and get the heavy-duty u- joints and you wont have any probs. You could get the greaseable u-joints but don’t forget to grease them.

I assume there is a coating but I’m not sure, look for a sticker saying not to clean it.
