Stuck Wheels

I have a 2001 F-150 XLT sport with the 17" Expedition wheels and the problem I have is 2 of the wheels are stuck on the rotor hats. I have tried all kinds of ways to get them loose with WD-40, hitting the front and back with a rubber mallet prying etc but no go. Please help I don't want the tire mechanics to destroy my truck trying to get them off.

Hi Steve and welcome to FTE

Usually hitting the back of the tire with a sledge hammer will work. Dont miss and hit the rim though.
If that doesn't work you can loosen the wheel nuts off a few turns and slowly drive in circles until it breaks free.

Dave, Thanks for the reply I'll give it a try. Would heating the hub area of the wheel do any good or damage? Someone told me thats the way the dealer or tire store would do it.

I've heated steel wheels before when I was really desperate but I dont like doing that and it would be an absolute last resort.

Heating the steel could cause metal fatigue, especially if it is heated too hot. I would try everything else first.
