Front end noise while turning

I have noticed my truck makes a front end noise when I make turns, like from a main road to a side street. What seems to cause it is if there is a little dip or bump durning the turn. The noise it makes sounds almost like a tire rubbing a splash guard or something. It comes from the drivers side. It he truck is stock with stock tires and wheels and has 4300 mi on it. I was maybe going to take it to the dealer but wanted to see if anyone else experienced this as well.

If it sounds like a trash can lid being dragged on the street - that can be the turbo dumping excess air. Sorry if I missed it, but what is the year and model of the truck you are driving?

Going to the dealership is a great next step, yfz 450; let us know what you find out. I'll be here in case you need my assistance after your appointment.

And if you can't determine whether it is turbo flutter and the dealer gives you grief, contact Crystal... She'll set the dealer in the right direction for you.

FWIW, at my old place in Miami, there was a spot that everytime I hesitated going over it, I got a turbo flutter. It was more noticeable on my 6.0 than my 2011 6.7s but it was still there. I have not heard it on my 2015 yet, but I am in a different environment now. ANd I only have 800 miles on it.

Still look underneath and get it checked out - it will drive you bonkers until you know what it is. Could be something loose too...

Try turning the traction control off and see if the noise goes away.

It is a 2014 crew cab short bed 350

I have never tried to warranty a vehical before, my truck came from a dealer in Colorado and I live in New York there should be no issues correct?

And yes now that I think about it it might sound like the garbage can lid on black top haha. I noticed it on left turns and it is from the driver side

It's funny that you mention this because my 2012 F250 makes the same noise when i turn off my main hwy onto a side street and it sound like the tire is briefly rubbing on something. I know it's not because i've inspected everything underneath and nothing is rubbing.

It's definitely a brief rubbing sound but no idea what it is.

I'm actually tired of trying to find out the issues with my F250. Ever time something is wrong, I call them and they really don't want to help. i've had to reseal my front window because of a loud whining air noise, the truck vibrates terribly when driving at 70mph or faster, driver door panel vibrates and is loud, and rear door rattles. I've always been a ford man and this may be my be the last $63k i spend on one.

2015 F250

I get that same rubbing noise. I notice it on one particular turn which is slightly downhill right hand turn. I can't find anything under neath causing it. Please let us know what the dealer comes up with.

I am hearing a noise now, it is when the streets are wet and I have to make these nasty, sharp turns onto hilly streets... Like greater than a normal 90 degree turn. I figured it out though, the tires are making the noise on the pavement. And no I am not in 4WD and I don't even have the locker, locked. Different sounding then if you just chirp them on a straight-a-way. I've been paying extra attention since reading this thread, just to see if I could come up with something abnormal sounding that is normal. It's all I got right now.

I have been working a lot of double shifts and have not had a chance to take it to the dealer. I think I have only driven the truck once since the post but I plan on going to the dealer

Keep us posted. I've got a 2013 f250 super duty and mine does the same thing. Damn rubbing sound. I can't figure it out either and the dealership said they couldn't repeat it. Last time it happened I could feel it it the steering wheel.

Did you take your tech on a test drive so you could show them what you're experiencing, JPMF250? How many miles are on the truck?

I've got 17k on the truck. I did not take the tech on a test drive.
