Craigslist Find, Save It!

Hi there, I regularly post in the 67-72 forums but I found this nice '76 truck in my city, take a look!

https://corvallis.craigslist.org/cto/4646406211.html

I drive by it all the time and have always wondered about its story. Unfortunately I'm hurting for a more fuel efficient car for school so I can't save this one.

Oh man. If I wasn't so deep into getting my '78 back together. Looks like a great project for someone!

I'd like to see it run without spark plug wires. And I'd like to see it stay running without a radiator.

Reckon its been sitting for more than 5 years with no breather or oil fill cap on it? Inside that engine is most likely junk.

I see a $250 parts truck for all the obvious reasons.

Sat for 5 years
Oil cap edit...Not installed
Spark plug wires gone
Miss match door mirrors
Missing dvrs side marker lens.
Only one hub cap
Looks like the dreaded rust bomb under the dvrs side tail light.
Yep radiator looks to already be scrapped.

Wonder if the plastic chairs in the bed come with it?

Ok $267.50

ChaChub its a 6 cly and a stick shift, pretty cheap on fuel.

Wow, it's no wonder so many of these trucks get sent to the scrap yard, $250? its worth about twice that for scrap

If that cab is as solid as it looks in the pictures it would be worth atleast $500 here in the rust belt.

Gonna try and take a look, if I get to I'll let everyone know what I find. The oil cap is still there, don't know how you missed it right above the hole (is that what she said? ). I already have an extra radiator, and plugs and wires +oil is do able for me. If I take a look I know I'll find more things wrong with it, I'm hoping that will convince me not to get it. I want to try and flip it haha but who knows

I did not miss the oil cap it is plainly visible laying there not doing any good at all keeping stuff out of the valve cover/ engine.

Gotchya, sorry.

Anyways I went and took a look, the guy just let me take a look without him there. Said things are missing 'cause he left it there and people stole off of it.

The left door is definitely from another truck, and the seat is toast. Couldn't get the hood open, I'm unfamiliar with these model years. I can't take it due to lack of space, time, and funds, but I said best I could do was 200, it's a pile. He told me he's looking for the best offer, so go for it, anybody. Just be ready to pull the engine
