New truck is here... Only problem with putting a plow on that is that it would take two zip-codes to turn it around and I need the maneuverability for doing my driveways.. I had an F150 with a Meyers on it and it sucked to do my driveway. This jeep with the plow is shorter than the standard cab F150 alone and turns on a dime. The problems with getting stuck were when we had 14" of wet heavy snow.. When it is powder there is no problem with the peg-leg diffs...

Lunchbox locker in the rear should fix that.

Although, lift it, lock it, put big tires on it and wheel it.

It replaces the spider and side gears in the open carrier with a locking unit. No need to replace the entire carrier. They are cheaper than an entire carrier

I thought there might be a little confusion. Chris tends to leave out the important details sometimes.

The LunchBox Locker is just like the Lock-Rite locker as best I can tell... It does replace the spiders (pinions), side-gears in a conventional open differential..
I'm not too crazy about the idea of locking the front end up as I don't need the understeer that comes along with it. I have a Dana 35 in the rear and will probably go that route..
Lots of horror stories about broken axles though... I think I should be okay for the snow-plowing I do.. I don't need to go offroading with it - I have the Arctic Cat Wildcat for that stuff...

I have a plow on mine, talk about turning like a school bus. I need to get some wings for it or make something.

I'd think you would be OK with one of those lockers in the rear of the Jeep for plowing.

My buddy has a yj on 35s with an 8.8 in the rear and a lunchbox locker. He wheels that thing at Gilbert and I am impressed with the lunchbox lockers.

Comparing a Dana-35 to a Ford 8.8 is like comparing a chowmein noodle with a piece of bent up rebar... But I get it... I'm not stomping on this thing so I should be okay...

I realize that but on stock tires you are fine locked.
