I have two different noises: 1. There is a "ringing" noise from the front left side. Sounds like there is a little bell attached somewhere under the truck. 2. A loud "grinding" I thought it might be where the front stabizer attaches to the frame as there are some grommets there. Usually happens when the front side goes on higher ground than the left. Any ideas??

Ive got a 2000 Expedition with the bell under the front end , mine sounds like its coming from under the front right hand side , every bump causes the jingle . I havent had the time to check it out , seems to be just some thing loose . May be I will look this week , Ill let you know what I find .

Hey , I found my ringing problem on my Expidition , dont know if it will help you , but here it is . The spindle nut locking retainer was loose and jingling . I put a couple dabs of silicone on it and the noise went away . Hope that helps .
