This is really a stupid question but I'm going to ask it anyway. I just received a new 2015 F350, it has 500 miles on it from being driven from the dealer it was gotten at. I am wanting to tow with it, is that wise? Does it really need the 1k miles on it before towing?

I know I should just suck it up and put the miles it says in the manual. But I really need to use it.

Me personally, depending on the load, I would tow. Just take it easy.
Now if your towing 20,000lbs.....ahhhh who am I kidding, if I had to tow it I would.
Just take it easy.

 

use it. just be easy on it and try not to wide open throttle it.

Vary your speed a bit.

 

I agree with what was already said. If I was towing maybe 10,000 or less, and maybe for just 200 miles or less I would probably do it. I would not only keep my foot out of it but I would try to avoid slamming on the brakes if possible.
