I'm looking to get some new bearings in my Dana 70 and am a bit confused as to what I should get. C9TA-Z on the tag and my unit number for the truck is E50725.
C6TZ4676B.....pinion seal.
C1TZ4036A.....cover gasket.
TCAA1244A.....diff bearings....(387A).
B5D4222A.....diff brg cups......(382S).
B5A4616B...Front pinion cup...(HM88510).
B8QH4616C..rear pinion cup....(HM807010).
B5A4621B....front pinion bearing..((HM88543)
C1TT4621C (HM807040)..replaced by C1TZ4621A..rear pinion bearing.
1244,4222,4616,4616,b5a4621b all still replaced by Ford albeit expensive. If you can swing it I'd suggest getting them from your local dealer. Ford usually keeps bearing manufacturers making them at better and closer tolerances then they would normally do. 2 places below have all three parts (C1TZ4621A,4676,4036)not available from Ford.
Parts International....972-241-8730.
Green Sales.............800-543-4959.
Me, I'd pull it all down check the p/n on yours. I know it's nice to have a hand full of parts first before rebuilding it. But you can be sure then.

Sweet. Thanks guys. Yeah, nothing like reading the number off the bearing itself. If I could find a spare I'd rebuild it and swap out in the spring. Planning the winter projects...
