Old ford junkie is right about the breather. I am not happy with the braking yet. Added a compressor for additional boost and still do not have the brakes I want. Once I land on the right solution, I will let you know.
Damn Troy that is just beautiful as heck it is. And it also functions. This thread is about
460 "Engine Bay". Not just the engine. And so far as I am concerned you have the
winning ribbon so far hands down. An awesome combination of parts that
blend together so freaking well it makes me all kinda giggly inside. Or
maybe I just have gas or am hungry. But really your 460 is as fun to look at
as a Cammer. Beautiful Bud, Just Beautiful.
Thanks for sharing.
My Uni only has an FE 390 but like you I like a clean bay. Check it out in my albums
under my user name. I had fun detailing it. Check out the way I mounted the jack
and lug wrench. Okay I am done drooling and praising. And bragging for now.
What a truck! Very clean and obviously well loved. I am guessing you show. How does she place? Thank you for the comments. BTW, I am just as interested in any critique you might offer on mine. I really want to not just show, but win!
Here is my latest update just finished and it fired up on the second try.
Ran good, a little rough, but then right before the road test, the cab was filled with antifreeze as it was obvious the rotten heater core couldn't take a new water pump.
Looks good!
The heater core swap should be pretty straight forward...at least you don't have the A/C in your way.
The color is an Orange Metallic color that I had a friend mix up and paint, before hand I sprayed the rubberized 3M undercoating to prevent any chance of rust again.
I am wrapping up all of the vacuum lines from a previous thread for the AC heater system.
