Hey all, so I'm looking for some information so i can go scavenging. I have a 77 F250 351M C6, and I'd noticed the PO put an in line fuel filter right before the Carb. Problem is, it has dripped out fuel directly onto the plug the distributor connects to, causing the plastic to dry rot and disintegrate. Now, the distributor wiring is only held together by the male plug from the distributor.
I'm wondering what applications besides dentsides and big broncos I can cannibalize a new socket from. Eventually, if i can afford it, this truck is going to get a total re-wire kit to eliminate all of the PO hacks through it's lifetime.
The female socket (from the truck harness) is available aftermarket. Rock Auto sells it. The male socket (attached to the distributor) is not available to the general market and is only available as part of a new pickup module. It's not clear from your post which side you need, but if it's the female truck-side connector, you're golden.
