Anyone from Tulsa?

Im a tulsan/sapulpan here. I work on 11th myself, near TU. Autozone is typical of most parts stores. Their better guys are in back on the commercial counter, working with repair shops, as we have no patience for those monkeys up front. The green guys are just as bad. When I get stuck dealing with the counter guys, Im usually armed with part numbers, so there is no looking up, ugh! Be careful of the V6, it is prone to coolant leaks as you know, timing cover and intake. Talk to the guys on mustang forums who do up their 3.8L's, they are sister engines, though with some differences, Ive seen guys build up 4.2Ls and stuff them in V6 mustangs, and hang with the Gt's. Have Ford run an Oasis on your truck. They take your vin and run it in their system. Itll say what recalls and bulletins are out for it, and what has and hasnt been done to it. I have a pair of ford trucks, and a bronco up north I need to bring down. Right now I have the 74 Ford F100 outside my shop, but will be taking it to sapulpa soon.

Hey, how are you all doing? I'm new the group... But I am posting this because I am looking for someone that knows 4.0 Ranger engines that would love to work on one in thier spare time for some extra cash. I'll tell you all the story, I burned though 2 valves on my 92' ranger v6 4.0, had a "Shade Tree" mechanic come out and tear it down for me and told me what I needed, Well it took me a little while to get the parts. (Sub-Story, my parents own thier own business and are on a business exchange system, so is this mechanic. Basicly fake money between small businesses.) But after I got the parts for myself because the guy wanted like $500 more for just the parts than I knew I could get them for, we were informed by the "fake money" people that he was stealing from other customers and that we shouldn't deal with him anymore. So now I have a tore apart engine in my back parking lot. My brother has put the heads back on, the main part that still needs to be done is the wireing and other complicated things like that, (that would take someone who knows the trucks to do) that still need to be done. Please send me an E-mail if you have the spare time and resources to do something like this, I have all the parts needed to complete the job. I am more than willing to pay, and maybe strike some other bonuses for someone will to help. Thanks alot for taking the time to read this cry for help! - Stewy

Unhappy And I think I have it bad?!??

Hey Stewy

You have a real big problem. It's every mechanic's
nightmare to try to follow another person who either
left the job undone, or even worse, badly done.
But welcome to the posts. Maybe some of us can help,
it's always worth an ask. I just hope this one isn't your
daily driver...

Anybody care to give this a shot? I'm not much on the
new stuff, but would try to help.

Ya I figured that, but hey it's worth a shot right? I love this truck... Just like I know all of you love yours. Hey I have an idea, how about we hold a rally and all you mechanicly advanced FTE's can stand around in a big circle and "hmmm" and "hummm" around my truck till it's fixxed... I figure if we all pray to the ford gods it will fix itself. hehe.... speaking of the ford gods, are they a group of big F-350 Deisels?
