Hey Everyone, just introducing myself a little. Just purchased a 2000 excursion limited w/v10
that looked pretty good and is very sound, no rust or dents at all.
Found this forum as I was deciding which upgrades I needed as opposed to wanted . So far have put a double dim JVC head unit a Alpine amp amd 12" Aplines in rear. The lift kit goes on in morning and if done in time 35's too , if not Tuesday is tire day hehe . Have also installed small airhorn kit and a K&N charged clod air induction new window motors and switches around it and locks ,nice grille thus far besides the must haves (new rotors brake calipers and pads). Next looking to maybe custom paint or some light bar or something that makes it stand out, then exhaust !!
Well, being a 40 yr old father of 3 teens and a wife that likes toys too its gonna be a while before its done but always looking for new gear.
BTW name is Brian I'm a welder/fabricator and have built coal trucks and rigs for last several years in mine industry here in WV. Hope to keep posting and reading useful things here, will post pics soon sorry haven't yet.
Welcome to the petrol club, we typically cower in the corner and avert eye contact.
FYI, the diesel guys, their engines rock and they own the entire world.
Don't mind mecdac (Mark), he is one of those silly deezle guys and sniffs his own exhaust.
Everybody knows the gassers are the ones to have, we keep the economy moving with all the gas we buy!
Welcome to the EX family, where it's the truck (station wagon) that matters most! We all get along here, whether it be powered by the mighty and reliable V-10, the smokey and clattery 7.3 or the leaky and often repaired 6.0. Heck we even let Apocalypse play here with his wimpy 5.4.

So what if we diesel folks sniff our exhaust! We don't have a problem and can quit anytime we want....we just choose not to
Welcome to the club Brian!
Just an FYI that'll probably save you some money if you don't know already: You can put 35s on the factory mags as I've done. (315/75/16) They fit nicely with 3-4 inches of lift and you don't have issues with the offset of aftermarket rims or things wearing out prematurely.
