Towing question with a E250
I have a 98 E250 Cargo Van with 5.4L and auto transmission. It has a class 111 hitch that looks like it is factory but not sure. I have converted the cargo van to a Moto Van with a divider wall. Living quarters in front and garage in back for the bikes. I am looking at getting an enclosed trailer as well. I would like to have a 8.5' X 20 to 24 foot trailer. Most of the trailers that I have looked at have 2 3500# axles which are fine for my use. I will only be hauling MX bikes and maybe a golf cart. I have never pulled anything other than a light trailer or small camper with this van. I believe that most of these trailers show around 7500# GVW.
Will this plan work? What would you guys recommend as far as options or add-ons to help. I plan to add a heavier hitch for one.
