2015 4x4 King Ranch on order. Black exterior with caribou accents. Sunroof, rear captains chairs, leveling rear suspension. I would have liked to have ordered the 22" tire package with new suspension but it's not available with the leveling suspension, and if I have to choose one i'd prefer the leveling option. Build date is slated for 08-Sept.
I've had a couple similar color Expeditions (2005 Eddie Bauer and 2013 loaded XLT) really like the black/ 2-tone, but unfortunately the only way to get that now is with the KR.
Congrats JohnKN - now the waiting. I look forward to hearing impressions. TI believe this will have the ecoboost - was there an option on gearing?
Also - is the motor the reason you are switching out of the 2013. Our 2011 only has 25k on it, but depending on results from the motor - it may be up for a trade in also when they hit the lots.
Yep, 3.73 gears are an option with the non-EL 4x4, but honestly, with the super low gear of the 6 speed, the standard 3.31's are plenty. I had 3.73's in my 2005 and loved them and thought I wanted them in my 2013, until I drove one.
Yes, mainly the motor is what's prompting the switch. The manual mode shifter like the F150 is nice sometimes as well. Actually multiple small features are appealing to me including the restyled front end, but the motor is the main reason.
Too bad the new suspension w/ 22" wheels isn't available with this combination, but I have leveling rear suspension in my 2013 and it's a 'must have' for me on the 2015.
