Fuel pressure to high

I installed a electric fuel system on my 95 f450 it worked good for a while fuel pressure was set at. 65. Checked it the other day and was pegging out 100 psi guage. Swapped the gauge no change so summit sent me a new regulator under warranty I installed it today with no change. The set has maybe been on the truck for 1500 miles. Could a stopped up filter cause pressure to be to high. The pressure doesn't change when the tanks are switched. I'm kinda stumped don't wanna just throw parts on it don't need

Whose e-fuel kit are you running? Without knowing the design it's tough to give advice on an issue like this, unfortunately. It's just hard to say without knowing what you have there...

If you can not adj it down then there is a restriction in the return between the regulator and switcher valve.

Unless something has been changed since the system was set up, Aaron is right. The only way the pressure regulator would not be able to regulate the pressure is if the return line is restricted somehow. I would pull the return hose off the regulator and run a hose into a fuel can and see how it works then. If you can regulate the pressure down with it that way, there is something restricting the return line.

If you still can't then there is something wrong with the system.

You were able to set it at 65 PSI though, initially, correct?

When it was first installed it was set at 65 psi no problem. I'll pull the return hose off it and see what happens

I found that the hard way on a project. I had too small a return line that but that should not be your issue

You prob already know this but make sure you always run from that tank first, then switch to the front, then back to that one.

Otherwise you'll be spewing fuel on the ground and/or filling up way more than you should need to.

Aside from this issue, how do you like the efuel setup?

I got mad and just cut the front tank out It was in my way and I didn't use it anyway since the filler neck didn't reach my cut out in the flat bed. I like the e fuel but building is a pain getting fittings and getting it not to leak but I like the more room in valley
