M+S can be misleading
I lived in Southern Indiana for a while. The ice storms were insane, about the only place you could drive was into a ditch. That was after spending an hour chiseling the ice off you windshield.

We had the worst ice storms i've ever dealt with last year, did not cause that much of an issue though since our winter roads are ice/snow packed anyhow. with dedicated snow tires (studdless and studded) i had no issues..then again we don't shut anything down for a little ice or a little snow...its just another day.
I'm going to be replacing my horrible stock pirellis with Coopers.
