The "Right Stuff" for a 6.0L FOMOCO engine?

Either one as long as they are nitrate free.

Check the bottle for the CAT-1 rating to be sure it's Silicate free. I'm not sure about the Rotella but the Zerex should be good to go.

Yeah. The Zerex is CAT EC-1 rated and the local Napa has it for $14.79/gal of concentrate.
They said they don't carry the Rotella Ultra ELC. (strange though. I got the info directly from the NAPA website!)

You'd be able to find Rotella Ultra at Walmart, i did. Not for 15$ a gallon on concentrate though, more like 27$

I used the Zerex from NAPA. So far so good. Only about 1K miles on it. So far so good. It seems to run a tad warmer. But it's been a lot hotter lately. We are steadily in the upper 90's to low 100's right now. So can't blame the coolant yet. Around $16/gallon here in Austin,TX.

Also, Final Charge from Oreilly's is concentrate CAT ELC-1. $23 a gallon. Make sure to use distilled water too.
