Hot weather engine problem
I have a 1987 Aerostar XLT 3.0 V6. When the outside air temperature is in the upper 90s to low 100s (common in No. California) in the afternoon, I have been experiencing occasional sluggish engine performance. Especially, when accelerating, the engine seems like it is struggling for air. Different gas pedal pressure seems to have a "hit and miss" for getting the engine up to normal speed. This only happens in hot weather. Letting the van sit overnight, the next morning it runs perfect in the cooler morning air. Any ideas? Thank You...
