Even more for my truck. I have an XLT with the 8 ft. bed and dual tanks. Hey maybe they will let me sit in my truck while they work Maybe I will just fill up the secondary tank before it goes in.

Find a shop that does heavy duty truck frame work, alignments, front end work, etc. Those guys are usually experts at this stuff.

I've had several different pick-ups done at one shop in Appleton, WI and have never had a complaint. These puny little F-series are like working on tinker toys to those guys… they have big tools to do it right.

It is not so much the lack of tools as, I believe, it is a lack of knowledge. However, I'm sure those guys know far better of what they are doing. Never considered taking my truck to a rig shop, but probably would have been a good idea.

I bit the bullet and went to the Ford stealership. Turns out my wife's friend's fiancé is a tech there.

I had mine done at the local dealer. Best $60 I spent. The alignment was perfect, wheel perfectly strait. Been 2 years now and 12k miles and the truck still tracks perfectly strait and wears the tires nice and even. The tech that did mine has been at the dealer for 35+ years and specializes in alignments. He does just about all of them that come through.

These truck shops work on almost nothing but solid front axles…lots of experience there. They have the equipment to do it right… I was a trucker for 41 years and I have seen them fix a lot of front ends that others screwed up.

It won't cost you anything to check 'em out.
