r those vents????
98 f150 s/c 4x4. Here's my ?.......i washed my truck the other night. Then I took my rear seat out to install a tether strap for my daughters car seat. When I did....the floor was wet right at the back of the cab. At first, I thought window leak. So I went out & sprayed it again.....nothing. Then I saw where the water was coming in....it looks like a vent on each side near the bottom of the cab.
Are these known to leak???? The hardware for the seatbelts is rusty because of this. Is there a way to remedy this problem???? And do they leak when driving around in the rain???
Any info., as always, will be greatly appreciated.
Remove it from the inside(I hope)???? I'd have to remove my bed to remove from the outside. And you think it's the seal and not the actual vent holes themselves??? That would be awesome news
Being a contractor...I think I can find some silicone around here
And....is that a vent??? If so, what for...fresh air???? Helps keep the air from gettin stale???

If you remove the trim, carpet etc from over them you should be able to tell. I cant find anything in the manual that shows them.
They are just vents to help air flow through the cab, let pressure out when you close the doors etc.
The other ones I've seen that leaked were ok, just the seal around them leaked. They are supposed to be a one-way vent to let air out but nothing in.
