Over the weekend I finished rebuilding my 4r100 and installed it in my truck last night. Before I tried starting it I attempted to roll it out of my shop in neutral, it's tires wouldn't budge. If I pushed the truck would rock like it was in gear. I've verified the the sifter linkage is in neutral by going underneath and manual shifting to neutral (for the hell of it I tried all the positions).
It was rolling just fine before I connected the rear drive line coming out of my transfer case to the rear diff.
This makes me wonder if something is bound at the transfer case or if it's in the transmission.
When installing the low/reverse drum\clutch pack I verified that spun freely clockwise and held counter clockwise.
When bolting the torque converted in I made sure it fully seated by spinning it several rotations, it also spun freely when i was bolting the toque converted to the drive plate.
