my son has a 2013 Fx4 crew cab 4X4 ecoboost with 8500 miles.He says in the morning for the first couple of miles while accelerating gradually the trucks shudders when shifting gears.After a few miles it goes away.Dealer says they can,t do anything enless he can duplicate the condition.He went out of town for a few days and left me the truck so I,ll drive it in the morning and see what it does.Any ideas?

 

I also have a 2013 F-150 Lariat crew cab 5.0 V8 4X4 with 4500 miles that seems to give a slight shudder when lightly accelerating when cold. Sometimes I get a bump when shifting from 1st to 2nd. It seems to go away when warmed up. It is hard to reproduce. It seems it should show something in diagnostics as "smart" as these things are these days.

If possible, you may want to leave your trucks at the dealership overnight so they can attempt to reproduce this when the vehicles are cold. Post any updates you have; I'll be here if you need my help.

Thanks Crystal.He left me his truck last weekend since he was out of town.(left me his DOG too).Anyway I drove it both mornings when it was cold and I felt nothing.I drive a 2013 F150 4x4 with a 5.0.His felt the same as mine.The truck has 8500 miles so I told him it has plenty of warranty left.If there is a problem it will probally get worse.
