Grill swap
I have a 1971 F250 and I would like to swap out my grill with a 67/68 style grill. I like more of the "open face" look. Does anyone know if it can be done relatively easy? My truck is currently in the body shop
so now would be the time to it if at all possible. Any details would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

It will bolt right in, but the depressions in the stone shield (the metal piece between the bumper and grille) are different on the 67-69 grilles as compared to the 70-72's due to the different shape of the turn signals. The earlier grilles will bolt in the grille opening of the later trucks, but the earlier turn signals are smaller so the depression is more evident. Bolting a later grille into an earlier truck causes clearance issues.

Definitly have time to find and stock up on some. I want to get my 71 running first. Then move on to finish the Uni crew. But sometimes I have a habit of jumping from project to project so maybe it will be sooner then I plan haha. I'm sure some of you's know how that go's.

hey hio are you needing inserts. My 71 inserts are not in bad shape. I have a 68 painted grille I plan to use.
