Just slapped a new set of gas magnum shocks on the rear. Holy cow! It's worlds better. I got rid of the speed shake, it rides better with more stability.

I will be replacing the front shocks with the same.

Too many people have recommended the Monroe Gas Magnums. Ordered a set from Shockwarehouse.com for $135, delivered. Seemed like the extra $20 was not really worth going away from something other people have used and like.
Should arrive today or tomorrow, and I will install ASAP. I followed my daughter the other night - not stealth, she had driven me to pick up my truck - and I could see the front tires really bouncing a lot. That's not safe, so new shocks were ordered as soon as we got home.

I have Gabriel Ultra shocks on all 4 corners of my 67 F250 and I'm very happy with them. Ride is still stiff, of course, it's a camper special 3/4 ton truck, but it isn't bouncy as before with the coilover shocks in rear and worn front shocks. Amazon had a killer price on them.

My '67 F100 came with KYB's all around and they don't look fresh but they feel fine. I looked at that Shock Warehouse website and now I have a banner showing to use "KYBREM" as a discount code to get $10 off a set of KYB shocks.
I won't be driving the truck much this winter so I'm not putting any new ones on right now.

The fronts were life-changing, and I was surprised by how much difference the rear shocks made. I mean, the leaf springs aren't as bouncy as the coils, but shocks still improved the ride considerably.

Yeah, my tires were unbelievably bad, so I had just done that as well.

My problem is that my tires were old when I put them on, although still like new. I've skidded them a few times so they arnt perfectly round. And they are the old goodyear wranglers that wear out fast. Plus, on an I-beam truck with weak shocks, they wore funny anyway.

Probably a good idea for me to go back and re-check that all the lower mounts are properly torqued.
