hey does anyone know if the 64' f-100s had front bumper brackets or if the bumper bolted directly to the frame? iv heard it both ways and if it bolted directly to the frame a previous owner must have chopped the ends of the frame off of my truck. otherwise where can i get brackets or info on fabricating em? I check around at all the aftermarket suppliers that i know of and none of them have 64' bumper brackets (front or rear)
The brackets are riveted in and are not readily available on the market. Fatman Fabrications is making the 65-66 front frame horns for thier frames. I would suggest comparing the following photo with your frame and see if they were actually cut off. My frame is a 64. This was when I was installing the Mustang II.
My 64 is riveted to the frame like krosati's picture shows, but my 63 has a bolt-on bracket. I haven't taken a tape-measure to them so see, but I bet they are pretty darn close to the same bumper - Maybe you could get a 63 bumper and brackets, and weld the 63 brackets to the end of your frame? You could still unbolt the bumper from the brackets...
As an after-thought, the 63 is a unibody, but my 64 is a standard longbed; I don't know if that makes a difference. Maybe someone with more F100 experience can answer that?

they definitely dont look like your picture dos although they may have simply removed the rivets and not acually cut it off. thanks for the info!
