Spotlight?

I've been wanting to add a spotlight to my '58 for a while now. I finally picked one up cheap the other day and when I went to go see how it would mount, I couldn't see any real options.

Anyone have one mounted on their Fridge? Seems like the pillar is too small to fit the shaft through it. Pictures?

This is a pic of my truck when it was 6 months old. You can see where it was, however, there is no sign of it now, inside or out. Not sure what my dad did with it, but they really covered it up well.

Cool. I was able to find one or two pictures on the Google machine. Guessing it's going to require a very steady hand while drilling.

Here's how it is mounted on my 60. It's hard to see but there is a spacer on the inside between the dash and chrome hold down.

If it is a Unity spotlight, there was a specific kit available that had the mounting parts, drilling template, and drilling bushing. There are still some of the kits around, so do some searching, try the Unity website also. The correct hardware makes the job easier and weathertight.

I have one I am going to install on one of my F600s, but I am going with a roof mount, got a new roof mount kit on ebay

Ford bought the spotlight from Unity originally...and they are STILL AVAILABLE from Unity (unityusa.com) as is the bracket.

Took a couple pics of the spotlight on my '60 f600 firetruck. Looks like a special chrome fitting was involved.

I was washing my f600 today and thought I remembered calling it a '60. That's my parts truck. The fire truck is indeed a '58. It shouldn't be too much work drilling the holes and mounting it. Do you have the chrome fitting for the outside? Looks like the two pictured here might be the same fitting, but installed in slightly different locations.

Hmmm. I'll try to post a picture later, but I've got one chrome fitting and two split collars. I haven't messed with it at all, but it looks like maybe the chrome fitting is flipped around.

The Unity spotlights themselves are pretty generic. Available in different lengths. It is the mounting hardware and kit that makes them specific to a particular vehicle.
