Does anyone have a diagram of the fuse box for a 1974 f350. I have a bunch for fuses under the drives side of the dash but the black plastic box they are in is not labelled in anyway. Also do people know where to get replacment fuses of the type these trucks use. Mine all look like little cylinders I took one to the local qutoparts store and they said they had nothing that old
The fuses are too small and tight to be replaced by hand. The safest and easiest tool to use is a plastic twist-lock puller, which often comes with replacement fuses.
I am not necessarily replacing fuses. My horn does not work and neither do my turn signals so I thought I would check fuses. I am trying to work on some other minor stuff while I try and get it running
To validate the turn signal fuse, turn the windshield wipers ON (to pull current through the fuse), then check that 12 volts appears on both sides of the fuse.
In the future, title your threads accordingly. This thread should be titled "Turn signal and horn problems," not "fuse problems." Fuses are your assumption of the source of a problem. When you title the thread this way, you're asking folks to peel back your logic.
