'53 5 speed

'53 5 speed
I took a longer look at the '53 F-600 down the road. The vin plate is missing so I can't quite figure out which 5 speed it is. Did the 5 speed have different gear placements?
The one is like this
2 4 ?
3 5 ?
The ? is the shifter **** is too worn to make out. But I probally couldn't use the transmission anyway since the rear mounts are on the bellhousing and they use different clutch release mechanisms.

'53 5 speed
Guessing it's like the '48 owner's manual shows - the top ? is R and the bottom ? is 1. This tranny is 1:1 ratio in 5th.
There was an F7 with OD 5th but that pattern was like this
2 5 R
3 4 1
Did you want the gear ratios?

The 4speed is a 3spd with a granny gear. But with an overdrive transmission the overdrive affects all the gears.
Direct in 5th
1st - 7.58
2nd - 4.38
3rd - 2.40
4th - 1.48
5th - 1.0
R - 7.51
Overdrive in 5th
1st - 6.06
2nd - 3.50
3rd - 1.80
4th - 1.0
5th - .799
R - 6.0
My heavy duty 3spd
1st - 3.714
2nd - 1.871
3rd - 1.0
R - 4.588
As you can see the overdrive transmission is geared even better than my 3spd. Well it looks like it is a 5spd direct. Drat!
