Clifford header intake combo experience

Has anyone used the Clifford header/intake/Weber combo on a 215 or 223? I am considering using this when my engine gets out of the shop and was wondering if there were any hiccups or what improvements it made. My stock intake and exhaust were in too bad a shape to reuse.

Clifford Performance: Ford 223-262 *Truck Combination Dual Header/Intake/Weber 38 DGAS 2 Brl Carb.

What are your expectations?
I built a chevy 250 inline 6 many years ago with a clifford 4bbl intake, 390 holley, split headers, etc..I expected to get v8 performance. What I got was v8 gas mileage without the performance.
That was the last 6 banger I bothered with, a stock 305 chevy would of destroyed it and got better mileage.
I learned clifford was confused when they cast the "6=8" into their parts

Not looking for a tire roaster out of a 223. Just a reliable cruiser that looks cool.

Use the aluminum valve cover and stock everything else. Among all the six cylinder enthusiasts on here we should be able come up with a usable manifold set. The exhaust is difficult but not impossible to find.

I wonder how much of that (overly inflated) price is for the Weber carb? I avoid them like the plague after having one on a foreign car.

Why not go with headers? A six with headers sounds fantastic!

I like the header and intake. Didn't know too much about the Weber, I've never worked with one. Holley does make a 390 cfm two barrel.

How many 215/223/262 intakes do you want? I have several. Uncracked exhaust manifolds, on the other hand, are tougher to find, but not impossible.

I had an Offy 2x1 intake on my 215 with an Offy aluminum valve cover and the stock Holley 1904 carbs. Couldn't get both to sync. Put everything back stock except for the valve cover and the truck runs just fine. IMO, the "dress up" parts are just that.

If anything, get the headers. Patriot also makes a set for the 215/223 engines.
