I am wanting to put an anti-sway bar on my 54 f100. A buddy told me that some of the later model 3/4-ton Fords had units that will bolt right on for the effies. He wasn't sure of the years though. He was guessing 78-86. Does anybody know for sure? I don't want to bring the wrong one back from Pick and Pull. Thanks, John
Hi,
I have one on my "55" however, because of the straight axel the bar is put on backwards. The straight side bolts to the axel using brackets with square u-bolts, The free running end is bolted to the rods with the rubber bushing and a 90 drgree bracket is bolted to the frame just forward of the front spring mounts. I can't measure it at the moment since I'm in Iraq but ther probably are many bars that would work with a little modifying. The biggest thing will probably frabricationg a bracket to bolt the axel.
