E40D Intermittent Leak

I have E40D out of 92 Ford E250. After a hard long drive the transmission leaks when the engine does to idel. As long as I am driving it is fine. When I stop it will leak a pint easily. The leask is coming from the drain plug in the bell housing. It almost seems that there is a pressure build up that is forcing fluid past the seal, when yo are driving the pressure is dissipated in the transmission. When the engine cools down the leak stops.

Very strange, is the drain plug tight?
I suggest you take it to a shop have them diagnose it; most shops do it for free. Sounds like you'll need a new converter.
