Truck starts fine cold once warm just stops running replaced coil and wire next to do is a ballast resisitor?
Why are you replacing things without doing any actual troubleshooting? If you have, then that's information you should include in your post. Have you checked for spark?

Yes sorry i did all that and changed coil and wires and brain box just to ensure it wasnt a tune up based thing but its like it runs out of gas
So i am following the tree from factory manuals and it points to a ballast resistor
Check for spark.
Check for fuel (clogged filter?).
... what was outdoor temp when the engine stalled? Vapor lock problem?
Sparks good ,outdoor temp is average , engine temp in normal range ,coolant is good vapour lock unsure have done a check up on the propane it seems good
Sound like there might be a problem in that system? Since you have done the throw parts at it troubleshooting attempt on the rest. lol
I have seen the propane system one time on a truck and it looks like a PITA.
I didnt throw parts at it i did a tune up then added a coil as the diagnosing sent me that way
I have done the propane check up and from there i found out about the ballast resistor and thats where im at
I wanted to see if anyone has had same problem...
Where is your coil mounted? On a 78 Fairmont I have, I had the coil mounted on the intake right next to the carb. It would shut off right at 15 minutes every time just like it ran out of gas. I moved the coil to the driver side fenderwell and it has seemed to solve the problem. I have been told older Fords are prone to do this.
