I also did exactly what 390 just completed. I did my springs 3 years ago now, and they are exposed to a harsh salt air environment, and show only minor rust stains so far. I too treated them with phosphoric acid, (rust inhibitor from Eastman's), first, and then the same graphite based paint. I have only minor "Squeaking" in rough off road conditions, so I am pleased with the results all around.

1. 300ci I6
Ford's 300ci inline-six cylinder was introduced way back in 1965, and it saw use in the F-Series for over 30 years. And the mighty I-6 didn't become one of the longest running Ford truck engines without merit, of course. It delivered loads of torque in a supremely reliable and economical package, even seeing use in some heavy duty trucks. The 300 even saw use in generators, wood chippers, and dump trucks. Not to mention UPS delivery trucks, some of which still employ the mighty six.

I love the BBQ right next to the truck, you really have your priorities in order amigo, Well done on both the truck, and your organization.. I can see that you are "At home on the Range", as well as in the shop... Keep it up, as you have set a new standard to measure progress by..
