PCV

I looked on ebay and found a PCV valve with a threaded male on one end and a male hose barb on the other, very simmilar to the one Chevrolet used on my '63. This one on the package it lists it for a '61 to '62 Ford/Mercury 292.

Question I have is how does this hook up? Could it be used on a older 292?

I ask because I would like to convert my '56 292 to use a PCV valve if possible. I dont drive much, barely put 2,500 miles on my daily driver in a year, but Id still like to be able to have confidence in going 3,000 to 6,000 miles between oil changes on this engine.

I recall reading that in california they did it by threading a PCV valve into the side of the road draft tube then hooking to a vacuum source. But if 61-62 came with them standard I wonder how they hook up cause as far as I know the 292 Y8 was the same up till 63/64, just the intake changed.
