Hi guys, I'm going to be buying a 2000-2004 Ford F-250 Superduty 4x4. It is going to be a super cab, with the short bed. I'm going to lift it, I'm probably going to go with a 7" lift, maybe an 8". My question is will I need to get longer drive shafts? Also if anyone knows of a site with pictures of the kind of truck I'm buying with pictures of different size lifts on them, I would REALLY appreciate that. Thanks alot for all the help.
HI, thanks for the link to those great pictures. I really appreciate that. I decided to go with the 6" EDGE lift. I see trucks running 36 and 37" tires. I really like the 37" tire look. My question is, will the 37" tires limit wheel travel more than the 36", and will it cause rubbing on the fenders while turning and flexing the suspension? Thanks for all the help!!
P.S. I would like to hear from anyone with the EDGE lift kit, and I would like to know how they have held up since it's been installed!
I will be running a 6" lift. THis is on a 2000-2004 Ford F-250 W/ Short bed, and supercab. My question is what size tire/ wheel combo do you think I should run. Also did any of you have to order a custom wheel with really deep back spacing, or is what the wheel comes with standard fine.
My truck will be used for some Heavy duty offroading, but it will also be a daily driver. Thanks for all the great help!! By the way I do not want to cut my fenders to make the tires fit.
For rim backspacing 4.5-4.625" is about what you want.
I'd recommend the same thing Overkill did in the SD forum..... 35/12.5s......and PJs do measure in the biggest.
IF you want to hear from people who have the Edge.......try the SD forum: NEVRNF, Motoxman_117 have 8" Edge lifts, kehale has 8" springs with their 3" hanger & shackle, and rdahl has the 6" with some 35/12.5......there could be more people that have them but those are the ones I can remember.
A buddy of mine has the 8" Edge with the 37/13.5R16 X-terrains looks pretty good and rides better than the 4" Pro Comp that he used to have.
