My check engine light came on just recently I used my sct tuner to read the code it said that glow plug 1-8 circuits are open? What exactly does that mean? Not to much knowledge when it comes to codes and glow plugs any help is appreciated thanks!!

 

It means glow plug 1-8 are not getting any power.

 

What year is your truck and which diesel do you have? It could be as simple as a loose harness or a bad GPCM.

 

It's an 06 6.0 f250

I followed the module cables and led me to the battery and I looked at where it ties down that was loose tightend down and double check the connection on the module and so far everything seems ok

 

For future reference if people don't know where it is, the GPM is #3:
All 8 GP codes at once normally points to the GPM/major electrical, one bank at a time can be the bus bar, individual codes are usually the plugs themselves.
