If not racing it then better have a regulator on it to tone it down the psi a bit.

What PSI does it need? That pump is preset to a max of 6.

I did order a regulator already though, just in case I needed it.

6 is standard. Most applications run between 5-7.

FWIW, I have a Holley 110 pump on my truck with no regulator. IMO, 8psi and below does not require the use of a regulator.

I saw where you were kicking around using the high out put Holley pump 6.5 to 8 psi.

Most guys end up having flooding troubles if not then but latter not using a regulator with them, plus and a gauge to read it's pressure to adjust it down some.

But some oem stock pumps now days our putting out more then 6 psi at idle

Well that Edelbrock pump is 6PSI, but 110 GPH. I ordered this 4 1/2-9 PSI regulator with the pump on the chance I needed it.

You guys are saying I need a regulator (which is fine because I bought one) because the pump I bought has too high of an output. The pump has a max of 6 PSI output and you say I need a regulator, but if I need 6PSI and I have 6PSI, what do I set the regulator for?

I've got two Edelbrock fuel pumps in service and they've lasted longer than any other brand I've tried.
