Checking out this '96 Mazda B2300
I'm looking at this Mazda B2300 (Same as '96 Ranger) for sale. It's a 96 model and has ~75K on it.
It looks very nice apart from a few things.
- The AC works only on regular AC but not on MAX. Any idea on the cost of repair ?
- Timing belt was never changed. Any recommandation on when to change it and at what estimated cost ?
- Clutch was never replaced. It feels ok but definitly will need to be replaced in the next 10-20K miles. Any Idea on cost ?
I'd appriciate fast response as I need to get back to the guy ASAP.

We've settled for $3400. Which I think is a little high but I like the truck. It's in really nice shape.
It's a timing belt and not a chain. I know ford doesn't give any recommandation when to change it but Haynes recommand doing it between 45K-90K so I'm close.
The clutch works fine at the moment and the truck was driven by an adult so I see it lasting for a while longer but I just wanted an estimate. I don't think I can do it by myself.
The A/C problem seems to be the old blend door problem although I haven't read about a ranger/mazda with it. I'll take a closer look when I get the truck tomorrow.
