Does anyone have a wiring schematic and vacuum hose routing for the cruise control on a 1986 F-250 ? If you do , could you scan it and send it to me at E-mail edited out of message by administration
The cruise isn't working at all. I have one hose from the unit that goes behind the engine but doesn't hook up to any thing. Can't find any open lines. Is there an indicator light for when the cruise is activated? Also is there an easy way to get to the bulb for the high beam indicator ?, seems like you have to remove the whole instrument cluster. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
There's no light, and you have to pull the instrument cluster to change the bulbs. Look it up on this link and put "f250" in the model field; not "f-250".
The Haynes manual has the wiring diagrams, and it's only ~$12 at most parts stores. Don't buy a Chilton's. But if the main vacuum hose isn't connected, it'll never work. You should have one coming from the intake manifold to the cruise servo and another from the servo to the brake pedal under the dash.
