Socket for 05 rear axle nut?

Hi guys, does anyone know the exact size needed for the 4 hole nut that holds the hub onto the axle assembly on an 05 truck? Tried every socket at oreielys.
2.5 seemed just a biiiit too tight and didnt want to seat 100%.

It's a special socket - here's one on AMAZON:

OTC 6601 Rear Axle Nut Wrench for Ford

Mine was identical but probably Chinese and came from Advance for less then $20 (though may be more now)

Mine is an Autocraft with 1-9/16 stamped on it and was used on an '06 F350 as well as the current '11 F250 along with a friends trucks.

As far as price - I bought mine 2 years ago, so $$ today -----not a clue. It has been used at least a half dozen times and shows no wear, so can't be too bad of a clunker tool

The pilot on my OTC measures 1.536", thus it is smaller than 1 9/16". Turn the pilot down on a lathe or spend the money on the right tool.

pipe wrench wont fit in the little lugs lol

Mister, dont know why it worked on your axle, the 1-9/16 is too thick to work on my 05 axle.

from the PS forum i found this PN availabel at parts stores: Part # 15009-01 by mile marker. equivalent to OTC 6601

I bet you never worked on one then. There is a reason a special socket is needed.
