I put an aftermarket system in my 97 EB expy. It consists of an Orion Amp, 2 kicker S12L5 subs, and a Kenwood in dash MP3 player. My Mp3 player works fine but my amp will not turn. I've hooked up this system in a friends car and it works great. Just curious if there is something about the Expedition that is different from other cars that is not letting my system work. This is my 5th car and I've had a system in my previous 4, I know how to hook them up and have checked every damn fuse in expy. Everything is hooked up correctly and should work. Please HELP!!!
If you have the Premium Sound system in the Expedition and you used the factory harness you will need a Interface to make it work. I just put a system in my daughters Expedition last Monday had the same problem. Called the manufacturer and they told me to Get one from a company called PAC. go2pac.com. They said it has to do with some safety feature in the factory amp. But she was in to big of a hurry so I went to Best Buy and bought their brand for $40.00,Got the adjustable one. Seems to work fine now. Or at least I haven't heard from her. Hope that gives you some where to start, and if that isn't the problem B/B will take it back.

I realize that you have hooked up everything, but - Are you sure you got the remote turn on wire hooked to the AMP??? Check to see if the AMP power light comes on when you power on the head unit... If not, that would be it
Are you using the factory harness for everything or did you run your own wires.... The after market system only needs 4 or 5 wires from the hactory harness... Batt power, Acc power, Dimmer, ground etc... other than that mine has the obligitory RCA cables and remote turn on running to the AMP and speakers wires from the AMP to the speakers....
as mentioned above the harness adaptor will help greatly identify the required wires (as they are labeled on the adaptor) they should also match color standards for aftermarket stuff now.....
