Color Options

Every time I try to configure a Magnetic it switches the interior to Black. I don't want black. I have seen on a couple web sites an interior called steel. I could live with that. Are there really any more options other than Adobe and Black? I am heading to the dealer next week to see if we can get to a number and order. Will try to sell my 04 6.0L outright before the new truck gets here.

I've seen 4 options, black, adobe, king ranch and then the cloth seats.

Ford's build site is just plain screwed... There are so many inconsistencies it is just ridiculous. Try selecting Bronze Fire Metallic.. It's not even there.. Oh and the option packages are not very clear either.
You are correct in that it will force various interior colors to be black depending on the exterior color. Also try the two-tone paint and Adobe interior.. Does not work..
If you're buying a Lariat and want heated seats, you have to spend another $650 to get the Lariat Interior Package...

Pretty bogus if you ask me...

I wish Ford would stop the clearly evident "off-shoring" of their website.. It's obviously a failure...

I did a search and found several listed with steel interior. Only a fool would get black interior in Florida. I will have to look and see what interiors I see on lot trucks.

You are probably right about off shoring the config tool. Either that or did not provide the designer with full info.

Trust me - I work daily with offshoring of technology and we are constantly re-working things that are "lost in the translation"...

Some used to call it being penny wise and pound foolish...

I think your on the right tack by going to the dealer. At least that way you know exactly what can be ordered and what can not.

Go to the dealer, you can get an idea on the website, but that is about all. Same is true for all mfrs though, you can mix & match different items with the dealer, where online it will make you choose a default package for certain options.

Steel is only available on XL and XLT trucks with the cloth/vinyl interiors.

I went to the dealer and was not overcome by the buzzards. I got to walk around and look. Only saw steel in the XL and XLT. Looks like Adobe and Black are the only interior options in the Lariat. I guess I will go with black and put some Duck Commander seat covers on. The Adobe would not look good for very long. The first time I sat down with cow poop on my pants it would be stained for life.

I also looked at the exterior colors and really nothing struck me as "wow, that's my color". After having thought about it, I guess I will go Magnetic. Should not show the dirt and mud as bad as the other colors.

I can't get two-tone in Magnetic though.

Guess I had better get my butt down and order it. I can't even find a picture of the Super Cab 350 dually for 2015 except on the configurator on Fords site.

The color in question are the side panels and dash colors with options for seat colors, Some exterior colors are not compatible with Interior colors. King Ranch gives you the option of Adobe or Black side panels.
