My ram looks like the illustration 21 section 36 above.

Just to double check
The Garrison power cylinder is 15 3/8” long
The Bendix power cylinder (which is what you want) is 10 7/8” long

This is just how this steering repair has been going. Crazy Crazy!!! If it has been like that do you think I can leave it?

Unfortunately you can't mix them .. If yours is 10 7/8” long your good ..

What year is the truck ?
Garrison was used '73-'74 up to serial #T80,001
Bendix was used '74-'77 up to serial #Y20,001

It is a 1977. And I have a picture of the valve before we fixed it. And It looks like the bendix style.

So in that case you have a bendix ram (power cylinder) which is exactly what you want with the bendix arm (power valve) you have unless someone changed it .. Now if we can get your hoses mated up you'll be driving it again soon

Awesome… So how do I know which side of the ram uses the 1/4 end valve and which side uses the 3/8.

I have two highboy parts trucks with the Bendix system on them I'll look closer in daylight (morning) and let you know ..

They're the very same size.

Why are you creating/responding to multiple threads on the very same topic???

You're only confusing the matter more than it needs to be, which is already confusing enough.

Both Rich and myself have given you clear, albeit slightly hard to read, diagrams straight from the parts catalog. The hose routing does not deviate from this, this is fact.
