The lights I'm going to use in the bed are made by Maxxima, I will get the part number off them because I can't remember what it is.

Very nice! You might have to take a long distance lunch to make it happen!

Work messed up my flicker access, but I hit 50k April 7th!

sounds just like me LOL! my dad's 81 isn't mine..."yet" haha. he's had probably 5-6+ vettes throughout his lifetime, but this particular 81 he's had for roughly 21 years or so, and his only has 37k i believe. i love the old vettes! i like the c7's too...my grandpa has an 81 and 17 grand sport. such a nice car.

Well the big day finally came! After work on my way home it was within 10 miles so I drove up the hill a little ways and took a nice shot and on the way down it rolled 50k!

Congratulations Russ! You know this actually got me thinking for a minute (yeah I know, dangerous huh? LOL) I'm feeling kinda nostalgic for the older trucks with analog odometers. I can remember my older trucks and actually watching the odometer literally roll over at 100k. I think you lose some of that with the digital odometers when 50k or 100k just appears on the screen. Anyone else share this opinion or am I just having a senior moment?

The pickup looks great as usual Russ, and congratulations on the milestone!
PGH, you should look on YouTube, and watch a video of one of these gauge clusters. They actually do roll over a bit, but its not gradual like with analog.

my 95 thunderbird will have 095,0xx miles on it forever and ever. the grease in the odometer must have dried up and it no longer works. speedometer still works, but the odometer has put on about a half a tenth since I reset it once I noticed it quit.

my inlaw's 86 sirocco will always have 68,xxx miles on it for the same reason.

not sure about the 91 crown vic, I havn't driven it in about 7 years. but I wouldn't be surprised if it has quit working too.

there's a downside to analog.... sometimes you never get to see it roll over.

I got to watch my 94 escort roll over twice, though

I also got to watch my 89 t-bird roll over to 100,000 and then 200,000 before I quit driving it. I still have what's left of it, anyone wanna come get it? lol

sorry for the hijack.

I've never had one lock up on me, my '91 F-250 is at about 68k miles and rolls along perfectly. Same can't be said for the gear shift indicator....lol

I have to haul a couple steel cabinets for a friend tonight, so the bed saw it's first set of forklift forks. I told my yard guy not to worry about it and loaded it myself.

Yesterday I bought a bunch of parts for the Motorhome, you can guess what I'm doing this weekend.

I was at the Chevrolet dealer yesterday picking up 8 trucks and saw this new Denali sitting in front. Looks like somebody took it off road it had clumps of dirt and crap hanging from under it and they drove on the flat for awhile...

Went out to a pig roast in Wasilla yesterday. Filled up with 88 (mid grade) before heading out. Since putting the larger A/T tires on the factory 22" wheels I've never been able to get the great MPG I could with the old winter 17's or even factory street tires on the 22s.

This was on the way out speeds 70-75 moderate traffic, there was some winds which did not help.

Parked out there

After getting home, I went slower 65-68 mph, very very light traffic but still some winds to contend with.

Also had to do a little work on Saturday. Here is my F-150 parked next to a F-550 crew cab that we stretched the frame to 108" Cab to Axle to allow mounting of a 14' box van. This thing makes my truck look like a Yugo haha

Have you every considered doing a retrofit to the 13+ FX4/Raptor projector headlights? I think it would be a nice touch on your truck.

I have, but the price was crazy and I've been happy with the output of the factory halogen headlights with HIDs dropped in.

BUT I have a set of headlights on order, they will be here later this week. They look just like the factory black projectors and I'll be using HIDs in them.

Here is a photo of another members truck with the lights I have on the way. There is a long post on another F-150 forum and thats where I saw them.

Good choice! They're from the same company I got my headlights from. I'm really happy with the projectors and light quality of mine!

Well guys, I'm sick to my stomach. On my way home tonight this happened. I have dash cam footage but I'm going to wait until the claim is settled to share that. This guy deliberately ran his truck into mine. Turns out he has a history of past convictions for assaulting someone with his vehicle after an accident and then leaving the scene back in 2011.

I don't even want to drive it now the way it looks. Going to get it repaired ASAP.
