Nice Cougar. And that looks like that was a nice show. Don't feel too bad Russ. I couldn't tell you the last time I detailed Betty. And I put a lot more miles on Betty than you put on your truck if that counts for anything.

The show was a let down, this was the first year back at this location after 2 years of construction on the building. They also had another show going on about 20 miles away which i hear had a good crowd. It was a good shake down run for the Cougar though, put 50 miles on going out there and back without issue.

I'm a few miles away from passing 20,000 miles since I bought the F-150, well before the 2 year mark meaning I'm putting above average miles on for Alaska, which has an average of 8-9k a year.

Nice Cougar Russ! What is that a 69 or a 70? My dad and I restored a 73 Cougar, about that same shade of blue, when I was in my teens. Ever since then I've had a certain place in my heart for the 1st gen Cougars. I like them even more than I like early Mustangs, and I never met a Mustang I didn't like!

It's a 1969 XR7 390/AT with 77,950 original miles as of the other day. We are the second owner the first was a friend of my Grandfathers.

I like the Cougars more then Mustangs because they are rare in comparison.

Agreed. And the 69 is one of the best looking too! Although I wouldn't turn down any of the first gen Cats

The Cougar looks nice. I like the 67s but then again I'm biased.

It's a timer for that trip setting. So it basically gives you drive time for that tank if you reset it every fill up, which I do.

After 11 months of ownership I just rolled 29,000 miles on the F250. I'll probably have just over 30,000 at the 1 year anniversary. It's been a long time since I driven so few miles in a year.

Dang that is a lot of miles, I'm so glad my commute is only about 8 miles I still do about 30 or so miles a day but I know people who drive in from out the in valley and put 150 miles a day just going to work and home. Alaska's average miles per year is somewhere between 8-9k yearly if i remember correctly.

So a few days ago I found some 6.2L emblems I really liked, ordered them up and they showed up today. I had the day off of work for my birthday which is tomorrow, so I decided to finally give the truck the detailing it's been needing forever!

Washed it real good including the door jambs, tar removed, waxed with Turtle wax ICE then cleaned the interior out and wiped it down. She's like a brand new truck again!

Old stickers

New emblem, I like how the L is white

Before all the cleaning I did hit up the grocery store.

Truck looks good Russ! Do you make house calls? Because my red Beast needs a good bath, too. Every time I think about at least taking it through the local car wash, it either looks like rain or they're predicting rain sometime within the next 12-24 hours. This has been a very wet month for us in Pittsburgh so far.
